Iraqi Embassy in Berlin-Pankow

The leaving Iraqi embassy is of course a classic of the Lost Places in Berlin Pankow. The building has been falling into disrepair since 1991. One wonders why the building isn't just being torn down and something new is created. However, it is unclear who is responsible for this, because the Iraqi state has an unlimited right of use entered in the land register, although the property officially belongs to the FRG. The Iraqis only superficially cleared the embassy. Not only did the Iraqis leave behind a lot of furniture, but mountains of files are also piling up in the ghost message to this day. During our visit  In 2014 there was still a lot to see. Above all, the many files lying around caused many violations of all data protection laws. Since the building is not locked, a visit to the exciting building is worthwhile.
