U-Bahn convertible tour through Berlin

One of the most unusual experiences in Berlin is a two-hour U-Bahn convertible tour through underground Berlin. The start and end station of the convertible tour is the Deutsche Oper underground station. The vehicle fleet consists of a battery locomotive and three platform cars that can accommodate a maximum of 150 guests. There is no roof or side walls. We are given yellow helmets and headphones before we leave. A BVG employee reported the entire time about the subway system, its history, architecture and operation. It was interesting that for historical reasons there are two gauges, so that not all trains can run on all routes.  Since the lights are on in the tunnels, you can see an amazing amount. The large underground halls and cathedrals were beautiful. It was also nice to see the surprise on the faces of the passengers waiting at the stations when this unique train passes through. Unfortunately, our tour was over after 75 minutes, because the locomotive had a defect and would not have made it through the Spree tunnel. It was still a nice experience and we even got the 50 € back without any problems. The tickets are sold out very quickly.
